100MW Ramagundam Floating Solar PV Project

The 100MW Ramagundam floating solar PV power project is being developed on the reservoir of NTPC Ramagundam Thermal Power Station in Telangana. To drive the floating solar market in India, NTPC is developing 1st in category large size floating solar projects under the flexibilization scheme of Govt. of India. If commercially viable, the cheaper power from the solar plant shall replace the thermal power being generated by the Ramagundam Thermal power station.

The project is being developed under EPC model through M/s BHEL and the floaters and anchoring system are being supplied by M/s Prabhdayal and M/s Adtech. With commissioning of full 100MW capacity, it shall be the largest floating solar project in Asia.
